9.45am - 10am - Meet and park at Brantwood car park at 10am at
the latest, car share to Coniston Pier Lake Road Coniston LA21 8AN to board the
Gondola. Google map below for SY

11am-1pm – Board the Gondola from Coniston
Pier, returning to the Gondola Launch Pier at Coniston Pier at 1pm
1pm – return drive to Brantwood for
lunch followed by afternoon of quiet writing time. Note: you can if you like
enjoy your lunch on the Gondola.
Please
bring packed lunch and hot drink as these aren’t included in the £35 workshop
fee.
1.15pm-2pm (approx.) – Lunch – either your own packed lunch, or
at Brantwood Café
2pm-3pm – Quiet writing time in the Loft
next to the Coachman’s Quarters above Brantwood Café.
3pm-3.15pm – Break (tea/coffee provided and
included in workshop fee)
3.15-4pm readback/feedback; more writing
prompts if time
Brantwood
Café closes at 5pm. We might like to end the day with tea & scones on the
terrace. This is optional and not included in the cost of the workshop.
Note:
writing prompts and handouts provided by Geraldine for the Gondola Trip
Cost of
workshop: £35 includes Gondola trip, workshop and tea/coffee in the Loft above
the Coachman’s Quarters during the afternoon.
Lunch not
included. Please bring own packed lunch, or you can buy lunch and/or afternoon
tea at Brantwood café
The
National Trust would like to use writing created on the day to promote the
Gondola, crediting the work to the writers and with the writers’ permission
