Creative Writing Workshops with Geraldine Green and George Wallace, Brantwood, Coniston, Cumbria, UK, June and August 2013

The beautiful grounds and gardens of Brantwood with views across Coniston Water to the Old Man and Dow Crag, and the light and airy classroom next to Ruskin’s Studio where the workshops take place provide a relaxing and inspirational setting in which to wander, reflect and write.

Through a variety of writing exercises these creative workshops allow time and space for the imagination to explore, invent and roam. As well as producing new work we will also spend time on feedback and editing.

2pm 14th June until 2pm 16th June 2013"Writing The Wild - an exploration of inner and outer landscapes"

We will also explore work by writers who have written in response to this topic (handouts provided). An informal reading by the group and tutor will be held on the Saturday evening. Note: some sessions take place outdoors in the beautiful gardens and grounds of John Ruskin’s home, Brantwood, so please bring waterproof clothing and suitable footwear.
