WALKING HOME - AN EXPLORATION OF PLACE AND DISPLACEMENT



September 18th-22nd Friday-Tuesday - Walking Home

Residential Writing Course on a working upland farm near Kirkby Lonsdale - course runs from 2pm Friday to 2pm Tuesday

Through a series of writing prompts and a variety of stimuli, new writing will be created exploring the themes: home, place and displacement

Course Fee £300 per person. Refreshments provided and included in the cost (tea/coffee/biscuits)

Bed and Breakfast accommodation is available on the farm for four people in 2 single bedded rooms and one double
Cost: £20 per person per room

Camping on the farm:
Room for one family sized tent, or two small ones £5 camping fee
Room for one camper van £5 parking fee
£10 for two evening meals at the farm

Evening meals provided by Jane on the farm on two nights.
On the other two nights we'll go into Kirkby Lonsdale, explore the pretty little market town, the Devil's Bridge and Ruskin's View - on one night we'll have pub grub in one of the pubs in the town and another night fish and chips in Jingling Lane Cafe. (Participants to pay for their own meals on these two evenings)
Lunch on the farm £5 each day, excluding Friday 18th.
